Ibis Rugby East Hotel

Nice room, decent sized bathroom (can actually get in without knocking the door on the loo like some other hotels)!. Food was what was expected I guess, I would have liked a proper salad. But that¿s just me!

We had to ask for the remote and also more milk (which it turned out we could just take from the restaurant but we didn¿t know this).

The location was excellent although strangely I missed it when arriving. Room was functional - as a non smoker there was a lingering smell of cigarettes. Breakfast met all my immediate needs and was a good start to the day. Bathroom and shower were both very good. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. Friendly receptionists and booking was easy which was a bit last minute.

As mentioned above, despite its size I struggled to find it. I arrived after 9 and there are no immediate places to eat. However there is a local Co-op with late night shopping.

Central to M1, easy to find.

The reception looked like a building site, boxes everywhere, building new furniture apparently! No handwash in the bathroom, no heating in the room, now shower hose fitted in the bathroom, had to go to reception in pjs to get one fitted!! Got a full refund so company are fair.

Good breakfast, big room

The room was cold and the air conditioning was not hot enough to cover the entire room.

Easy to find with plenty of onsite parking and I was able to charge my car overnight, which meant an easy journey back the next day. Bed was comfortable; the room was clean and surprisingly quiet. Breakfast was excellent and of a very good quality, especially the sausages and mushrooms.

Staff were friendly

Restaurant was closed for two days so couldn’t eat at the restaurant, they gave me a room that someone was already in and I walked in on them we were all shocked

Lovely clean rooms staff really nice nice bar glad it didn't cost a fortune like some places really like the decor in the rooms and they were spotless

Had breakfast it was cold and really dry, so I didn't enjoy it at all only one toaster, so there were a few in, so I didn't get a chance to have toast I just don't get why the breakfast was cold even the beans were not hot so I wouldn't have breakfast again

Easy access to M1. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The room was of good size. Overall I was very happy with my stay. I will be coming back to this area again and this will be my favourite plac to stay.

Modern, fresh, straight off the M1 suited me.

Kettle didn't work. USB hub was flakey. Went to breakfast and then didn't have any sausages that day.Got the feeling that although all the bits were there it wasn't quite run as well as it could be.Few simple things needed attention. I wasn't looking for much, bed and breakfast.No coffee in room as kettle broken and so went to breakfast and out of some food, so left and got breakfast in Travelodge.

Location ideal for work related course.

Next to a building site at the moment. Does not appear to have evening meal facilities.

Quite quiet.Nice size room.Portable electric point and light switch.

Lift could have been better, bigger and faster.Receptionist hard to understand.Building work on going outside.

Breakfast was good and staff on reception very helpful - along with a comfortable, clean and warm room. What more could anyone want.

Good breakfast and comfortable bed.

Room very cold when I arrived (16 degC) and heating then quite noisy when set. Empty shower gel in shower though there was shampoo/conditioner.

Ok but unhappy with the cost of the hire car parking fine admin charge

I am extremely annoyed because I was made unaware that I had to register my hire car. No one on the desk checked with me and I didn’t see the signs which are apparently in the reception. The hire car company are now charging me £68 admin fee. I’m really annoyed as I had told my wife to stay there too. It’s the principle that is annoying me. I stay overnight in the hotel and I end up having to pay £68 for nothing. Ibis should pay for this charge.

Really impressed with the service I got especially from the hotel manager. I had a small issue with my room and she sorted it all out without hesitation even though the hotel was very busy.

Clean, basic, comfortable, convenient for a break from Motorway driving.

Not well signposted so not easy to find in the dark, amongst all the surrounding building works.Shower quite a slippy floor and controls hard to adjusted.Cold room on entry and then a noisy fan when we turned the heating on. Not good for getting off to sleep .

Very clean , friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Plenty of hot water.

Breakfast not good value £10 a head. No choice of eggs, black pudding hard. Tomato’s dried up. Dining room closed at night for the weekend we were there.

Location was convenient just off A road but overlooked a building site.Room was a bit small but fine and beds comfy.

Breakfast finished at 9am - could have been a bit laterAlso when I checked in the hotel had run out of key cards and so a member of staff had to let me in the room but then I had no key.
